Must GOD exist by 'Logical Necessity'?
While most atheists would immediately cry "Ridculous! Absurd!", or even stronger expressions of disagreement, the question must be thought through philosophically.
The question is this: Are there any arguments/lines of reasoning that are sound, and terminate with the conclusion that GOD must exist, as a logically Necessary Being, one that is the foundation for certain features of reality such as existence, morality, and necessary truths?

Keith Ward, a British philosopher, takes Dr. Craig's comments and expands upon them in a most brilliant way in his lecture "The New Atheists," which can be found on YouTube.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, in my opinion, his explanation is the finest I've ever heard, and I honestly didn't think that anyone could surpass Dr. Craig.
Anyway, Mr. Ward explains God as a metaphysically necessary being from the vantage point of quantum physics, and dovetails this approach into why God - considering quantum physics - can be "only" thought of as a "pure mind." I'm so glad I found him, and highly recommend this lecture as a "must listen." He has a very soothing style, and presents this complicated material in an easy-to-understand way. I think you will be as glad that you listened to it as I was. Don't miss it!
